Turning a Blind Eye to Design Culture? Here's the Price Tag Your Company Pays.

0-1 has its challenges - and if you’ve hit PMF, the next thing you worry about is scaling.

With scaling, I’ve seen a lot of founders turning a Blind Eye to Design Culture, and here's the price you pay:

  1. You don’t get the best designers in even after multiple efforts, and spending time on job platforms. If someone joins, they leave within a month - also, they delete any evidence of it on LinkedIn. 

  1. Designers by virtue are looking for companions as the designer to dev ratio is 1:12 for most startups. If your existing designer leaves, it’s a nightmare - as the new designer would have to spend at least 1-2 months to gather context, and set things up for success. You lose ample of time in this. 

  1. You lose a lot of money - time spent by HRs, and PMs who’re constantly trying to hire your “dream designer”
