How fast can Versatile present qualified candidates?
First shortlist of 3-5 candidates within 5-7 business days of brief sign-off for engineering and product roles. Niche roles (specialized ML, senior leadership) can take 10-14 days. Each candidate in the shortlist has already cleared culture-fit screening, a technical screen, and a salary expectation alignment.
Do you charge a recruiter fee?
For Versatile Recruitment (direct placement to your own entity or to your EOR), we bill a one-time placement fee at 8.33% of annual CTC, payable on the candidate Day 30. We back this with a 90-day replacement guarantee — if the hire does not work out in the first 90 days, we replace at no additional cost. Versatile is not a 22-30% retained search firm.
What is culture-fit hiring?
A 50+ parameter behavioral and contextual screen we run on every candidate before they reach your interview pipeline. We assess work patterns (deep-work vs interrupt-tolerant), communication style (async vs synchronous-heavy), past company structure (startup vs enterprise), tenure stability, and growth trajectory. Pure technical-skill matching produces hires that quit in 4 months; culture-fit matching produces hires that stay 24+ months.
Can Versatile Recruitment hand off to Versatile EOR after placement?
Yes. Many clients use Recruitment + EOR together: we source and place the candidate, then onboard them onto Versatile EOR so the client does not need an India entity. Single contract, single monthly invoice for the EOR fee plus the one-time placement fee. The placement fee is non-refundable but the 90-day replacement guarantee still applies.
What does the 90-day replacement guarantee cover?
If the placed candidate leaves voluntarily, is let go for performance, or is otherwise unable to continue in the role within the first 90 days, we source and place a replacement at no additional placement fee. The guarantee resets to 90 days for the replacement hire. The only exclusion is termination for misconduct or fraud (in which case standard exit procedures apply).
Do you do contract-to-hire (C2H)?
Yes. Engagement starts as a Versatile Contractor of Record contract (typically 3-6 months), giving you a working trial period before the contract converts to full-time on Versatile EOR (or to your own entity). The placement fee is billed on the C2H → FTE conversion date, not on contract start. This is the lowest-risk path for first-time India hiring.
